Protea Hotel by Marriott George King George

Overall, the hotel is very well placed. It's relatively central to George and offers quite a tranquil setting. The hotel's grounds it is situated on is also well-maintained, neat, and quiet. The rooms are not the most modern or luxurious, but more than adequate in almost every way. We did have a shortage of decently sized towels in our bathroom even though I requested the correct amount of people (2 properly-sized towels vs 3 people). Other than this, I thoroughly enjoyed staying here.

Everything was awesome, the hotel is world class, situated in a beautiful are of George. Surrounded by beautiful golf courses, Great staff and very open and helpful. The entire city is clean and safe, food is great. For people who want to visit Western Cape with good intentions that is a great place to be.

A beautiful hotel, well situated, neat and clean. The staff were very attentive and always helpful. The room was comfortable and warm when we arrived. We ate a delicious, well priced dinner in their beautiful dining room. There was a fire going, beautiful lighting and a relaxed atmosphere. Our only criticism would be the mattress. It was very uncomfortable and thus we did not enjoy restful sleep. The shower too was a concern as water ran out onto the floor, creating a serious slip hazard. Breakfast was good, however we felt it was very over priced.
