Protea Hotel Fire & Ice by Marriott Cape Town

This place was an absolute gem. We only had 48 hours in Cape Town and they made the experience worth while. Everything from coordinating spa treatments to giving activity and restaurant recommendations. Our loft suite was gorgeous. The space was way more than we needed, but nice to have nonetheless. The bar and restaurant crew were our daily favorites (special thanks to Chuma, Lee, Owen, & Chad -- they were the very best! )

Great hotel, friendly service! Hotel looks trendy and clean! Very comfortable beds. The room was nice an spacious. The only weird thing was that the sink was in the room and not in the bathroom. Swimming pool and gym included. In the lobby you can watch sports. Would highly recommend

Hotel was in a nice location, easy to get to most of the key spots with a view of table mountain from the hotel. Not a hotel that has easy safe walking around it, so be mindful most places you will need to take a car/uber. The rooms were OK. The normal rooms are basic, simple and small...but meet the simple needs. Don't expect anything amazing. The 2 story penthouse is a good concept but not well thought out. The room has an echo, you have to walk outside or through the garage to get there and the smoke detector was located right above the shower and was set off on our first shower. This caused the entire building to be concerned. They addressed it by putting a cover over the detector, but little things like that made it clear it was not well thought out. The restaurant was decent for nights/days we didn't eat out. Not a great selection, but enough for a night or two that you need a decent meal. The breakfast buffet was not worth it for us, it was just OK. The service was GREAT! Made up for all of the gaps.
