Pueblo Bonito Mazatlan

We had a twelve day stay and were happy with our choice. The staff are all incredibly friendly and the resort is in a good location. If you want to be closer to old town then I recommend staying at the downtown resort otherwise you can take a taxi which is around 250 pesos. It has a wonderful beach that is accessible and great to play in the water. Both pools were great, but we enjoyed the main pool more due to it having music. The other pool is definitely quieter. Con’s: The restaurants are not always open so choice is limited for breakfast, but the food was good overall. The band plays constantly, all day, in the beach. This gets annoying. There is not an ATM at the resort or close by. You can ride the shuttle to Emerald Bay and use the ATM, but that’s not the most convenient when you need pesos. We enjoyed PB Mazatlan over our time at Emerald Bay. We did have a couple days in the spa which I recommend. That part was wonderful!

The property is lush and we walked behind villa through the grass to the gym and spa. Lots of biodiversity, deer, iguanas, rabbits, and birds Gym hours 6:30am- 9pm.For spa you reserve for the next day. Call 4088 they open at 7.Slots go quick. They have 7-11 or 4-8 slots. Loved the cold plunge and hot tub. The spa showers are also stocked with shampoo and conditioner. Lotion, shaving cream and razors also available. The buffett staff are top notch especually Raphaël and Antonio. Don't forget to tip the omlette lady , she has six going at a time, and they are delicious! For our group of 6 they sent the regular golf cart shuttle instead of the one that would accomodate us for comfortable rides. One driver said it seats 6. Not true. The middle seat fits two, not three. This was disenchanting as we depended on the transportation when going to places as a group. Twice we had driver call for another cart. If you are sensory sensitive take a mask as there is a strong smell of pesticide on the grass at the villas.

Okay hotel that’s overpriced, definitely not a 4.5 hotel. Stayed there for 2 nights and service was hit and miss. Some employees were nice, some others had no concept of customer service. Rooms are run down. There is no drinking water in the room or minibar; there is a coffee maker, yet there is no complementary coffee offered in room. Water pressure is non existent. Rusty room features and hair dryer. This is supposed to be an all inclusive, yet they have a charge to delivered room service. Food is average, nothing special. Some of it tasted like cafeteria food, nachos at one of the swimming pool bar for example. A Holiday Inn would have been better and cheaper. I do not recommend it nor I will be back.
