Puerta Azul

We haven't finished our family vacation in Roatan and at the Puerta Azul Hotel yet, but I'm already certain it's a place far above the standard anyone who spends time here can expect. In every detail, you can immediately see the excellence and care everyone who works here takes to keep everything clean and pleasant for guests. 100% approved and truly surprised, as I didn't expect it to be like this, and if we can, we'll return one day with the rest of the family. A very peaceful place with everything you need to enjoy the beautiful coral reef right in front of the beach. Congratulations to the owners and all the staff at this wonderful hotel.

We absolutely loved our stay at this boutique hotel in Sandy Bay. The location was perfect as it was just a quick ride to west end west bay. What we loved most was the exclusivity of this gorgeous property. We loved spending afternoons on the beach. The snorkeling from the dock was amazing. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The included breakfast was a great value and the lunch and dinner menu was fresh, healthy and delicious. What makes this place so special is you feel like youre experiencing the real island life - not a cookie cutter hotel. Thanks for everything - we will be back!

Puerta Azul is a standout boutique hotel in Roatán. We were a group of six women on a four-day trip, and Talia, Antonio, and their team went above and beyond to make everything effortless. They created a full itinerary for us, handled all the bookings, and added thoughtful touches to help us celebrate our friendship. They arranged a private boat day with snorkeling (including nurse sharks) and, on a separate day, coordinated a scuba diving trip. They knew exactly who to book and where to go. They also made all our dinner reservations, organized massages and a sound bath on-site, and managed all of our transportation. The hotel itself is calm and private, with its own dock and beach—away from the crowds but still just 10 minutes to West Bay or West End. Breakfast was included and consistently great. Housekeeping and kitchen staff were friendly and professional. When one of us needed a doctor, Talia personally drove us to the clinic and picked us up. Everywhere we went, locals knew and respected her, which made a big difference. This was one of the most low-stress trips we’ve ever taken. Highly recommend Puerta Azul if you want to relax and not have to think about logistics for even a second. Can't wait to book our next trip with families and little ones.
