Puerta Cortés Residences by Lumina

We stayed at Airbnb suite at Vistamar for several days. Our suite had incredible direct view of the ocean, spacious living area and luxurious master bedroom/ bathroom. The best part was that we had access to the Beach Club below the hotel, that really made our stay very enjoyable. It takes about 10 minutes to walk down to the Beach Club, but taking car or a golf cart makes it easier.

This resort is perfect. If everyone has their own version of paradise I could spend eternity here. The resort staff are super pleasant and accommodating. The rooms are in fantastic condition with super hot water. The Blue Cortes beach club has some of the most beautiful views I have ever seen. You can sit by the infinity pool and have food and cocktails delivered to your chair. When I was at the hotel it was never crowded and I rarely saw more than 10 people. You can also walk to the right of the pool and have one of the most pristine private beaches I have ever seen. It even gives Playa Balandra a run for its money. At the resort there are also several other awesome restaurants. An Italian/seafood restaurant, a international restaurant, a sushi restaurant, and the Blue Cortes beach club. I was personally partial to simply eating delicious Mexican food at the beach club all day. There is also a small market which sells candy, beach supplies, beer, liquor, eggs, etc. The resort has two separate security areas which makes it feel very safe and there are always security employees walking around. La Paz's downtown is only about 10 mins away and is fun to visit and have dinner at. Playa Balandra is also a short drive. If you don't stay here you are missing out.

Decreasing to two stars because their WiFi is not secure. Both of my credit card numbers were stolen and used for fraud purchases. Spacious condo and nice grounds. Golf cart comes with the rental. It’s necessary to get around. Staff is nice, however sort of disorganized. Our room has a horrible buzzing noise that keeps you up at night. Second room has a window to the hall so there’s constant light at night. Room is not exactly as booked. House keeping doesn’t come every day. That said it is large with an amazing view and otherwise comfortable. Wouldn’t call it relaxing considering you can’t sleep peacefully in either room.
