100% recommended. I traveled with my teen daughter and we felt safe. AWESOME location: 10 steps to Puerta del Sol, 11 min walk to Plaza Mayor, 13 minutes walk to Gran Via, 13mi utes walk to Palacio Real. Great restaurants around Hotel was clean, service 100% good and friendly, room VERY comfortable and nice. Great Wi-Fi I will sray here again in my future trips to Madrid: GREAT hotel for friends traveling together as everything is close
Amazing location, steps from Puerta del Sol. I thought it would be louder at night but was pleased with the noise level, especially at the city center. Customer service and attention to detail were wonderful. We stayed in a quad room (2 adults and 2 teens). It was more spacious than we had expected and the terrace was very large, and provided us with more space to spread out. The bathroom was very large as well, with a large shower with good water pressure. I liked that for 4 people, we were given 4 towels from the beginning and didn't have to ask for more. We had decided to pay for breakfast with our room rate. It was a bit expensive, but we made the choice for convenience. There was a large amount of choice each day- cheeses and meats, different kinds of bread and rolls, pastries, fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt, fresh orange juice, other juices, coffee machines, tea, and other milks (lactose free and soy were available). The hotel staff was wonderful. Everyone at the desk greeted us warmly when we entered or exited the hotel. Especially wonderful was Blanca, who checked us in, made sure we knew how everything worked, and provided us with information that we asked for. The location is great for travelers in foot, as you are in walking distance to everything in the center. If you need to use the metro or cercanías trains, they are also just at Sol (which makes it easy to get to Atocha and Chamartín train stations for day trips or other travel). There is also a taxi stop just around the corner on Calle Mayor, which we used to get to the airport. Keep in mind that if you are taking a taxi to or from the hotel, the Puerta del Sol is a pedestrian area, so you may need to walk a little bit to get to or from your taxi. (The front desk will arrange for a departure taxi for you.) I hope to return to Madrid again some day, and I would without a doubt stay at the Petit Plaza Puerta del Sol again.
The room was small but it had everything you may need, very comfortable beds and sheets. The air conditioning? Splendid. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. We didn’t have breakfast there. I appreciated the silence while sleeping. The location is perfect if you need to be close to Metro (Sol station), shops, and tourist attractions. We stayed at the beginning of June 2025.
