Three days in paradise. This place takes you somewhere between nirvana and home. The lush gardens, the thoughtful and elegant decor, the sense of calm that wraps around you from the moment you arrive… and then comes the real magic: the team. Discreet yet always there when needed, they seem to anticipate your every wish before you’ve even thought of it. It’s effortless, personal, and genuinely kind. Perfection—but with a human touch. A rare gem not to be missed on la isla bonita.

A true little gem of a hotel. Grounds and gardens are sumptuous, the staff is brilliant, calm and serene - simply perfect. We stayed 6 nights and wish we could have stayed longer!

The Hacienda is as its name implies, a former palatial home of a sugar plantation owner and his family. The rooms are large with high ceilings, but dated. The hotel is located down a narrow twisting path a few hundred meters from a main road leading less than a kilometre to the centre of Tazacorte. There is a decent size supermarket in the town with numerous restaurants. A favourite of ours was La Lacondo a Pizzeria at the top of the narrow path (cars and trucks do navigate this, "road") from the Hacienda. The lunch and dinner at the Hacienda is, "white cloth", and the menus are the same. My wife is lactose intolerant and there was only 1 entree she could eat - "wreck fish". As a result we ate elsewhere. There is a 15-20 minute hike down to a port - El Puerto de Tazacorte which is most worthwhile to visit. If you stay on the sidewalk next to the main road there is only 1 way down. There is a neighbouring, "black sands" beach with sections -bathing suit optional. There are, however, many seafood restaurants which harbouring a port have incredibly fresh seafood. Breakfasts at the Hacienda were buffet style with many delicious options including selections off a menu. The breakfast buffet opens at 7:30 am which coupled with a 20 minute wait for our eggs benedict resulted in our leaving prematurely and just grabbing some Croissants to meet our driver for an all day excursion around the island. The 2 days we did not have a pre-planned tour allowed us to thoroughly enjoy the breakfast buffet. The staff are superb - very knowledgeable and professional, and accommodating.
