We booked a treat for my mum's birthday, all the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We had some minor issues during the stay that were all taken seriously and dealt with professionally. The service in the bar, reception, and spa was all high class and efficient with a welcome and polite manner at all times. Really positive stay and we will be back because of the stay we had. We booked early in the year and we got given a really nice rooms with sea views and on a higher floor which was appreciated.
I recently stayed at the Pullman Hotel in Auckland and was thoroughly impressed. The room was spotless, comfortable, and well-appointed, featuring excellent heating and a fantastic shower. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, complemented by a generous selection of pillows to suit any preference. The valet service was outstanding, and the hotel staff, both at reception and in the restaurant were attentive, professional and always willing to assist. I would confidently recommend the Pullman to anyone seeking high-quality accommodation in a prime Auckland location. It offers a superb blend of comfort, service, and convenience.
We stayed at Pullman Auckland for the Winter Staycation offer, hoping for a relaxing and genuinely family-friendly experience. There were a couple of thoughtful touches — a welcome card and a small muffin-sized cake in the room — which we appreciated. However, the overall stay didn’t live up to expectations, especially for a family of three with children around 10 years old. The so-called “children’s welcome amenity” was a tiny backpack more suited for a toddler — not age-appropriate, and not useful for older kids. Despite booking for one adult and two children, the room was only set up for two adults. We received two adult-sized bathrobes and two pairs of adult slippers, with nothing provided for the children. No child-sized robes or toiletries were available, which felt out of step with a promotion marketed as “family-oriented.” The pool and spa area was extremely overcrowded. All the poolside chairs were taken, and the environment felt more chaotic than relaxing — more like a public pool than a premium hotel facility. The room also had some maintenance issues. The bath plug was missing its chain and was difficult to remove. When we pushed the beds together, we discovered the carpet underneath was quite dirty. Overall, the “family-friendly” theme felt more like a marketing label than something truly reflected in the experience. While the staff were polite and did their best, the amenities, setup, and general service didn’t match what was promised.
