Upon check-in, I was informed that a deposit was required, which I understood is standard practice in many hotels. However, I was surprised by the amount charged (RMB2,000) and the lack of clear communication regarding the policy at the time of booking. While I appreciate the need for deposits, I believe that a more transparent approach would enhance the guest experience. After I asked how the amount was determined, the staff asked for RMB500 instead. It would be beneficial if guests received detailed information about the deposit amount, its purpose, and the timeline for its return during the booking process. This transparency would help guests make informed decisions and avoid any confusion. I only realised that locals are not required to pay deposit when I checked out and noticed a local lady returned the room cards then left. The staff told me she was not clear about the room deposit policy after she confirmed with me that only foreigners are required to pay room deposit.

Horrible experience at this place, customer service is trash, I’ve been trying to contact them about issues at the hotel. The manager picked up the phone and said I don’t speak English and hanged up the phone. What a trash hotel
