Nice area downtown and grand restaurant
It's ok. I stayed at the Nikko last year, and would like to stay there next year. It's 1990's and it shows.
This is simply not a five, four or even three star hotel as of now. The room is still big, however the furnitures definitely show signs of aging (worn and broken). The carpet and curtain are not clean at all. Wall is paper thin. Amenities are very limited (e.g., no coffee machine). The door is not functioning properly and it constantly makes beeping sound, so you have to slam the door shut. Imaging some of your neighbors doing that at 2 or 3 AM in the morning. Front desk is OK, but not overly polite or warm. I don't understand where these 5 star reviews are from, and they make me feel they stay at another fantastic 5-star Kempinski hotel, as opposed to the lousy one where I spent a few nights.
