Pullman Riga Old Town

It’s a beautiful property, feels ancient from the outside, yet luxurious and modern from the inside. The welcome was warm, the restaurant/bar offered multiple options and the service was great all along. I loved my room, specially the mattress - one of the best I have slept on over years.

The hotel is very well located on the edge of the old town within short walking distance to attractions. There are lots of great quality restaurants, cafes and bars nearby. The hotel restaurant is expensive but excellent and worth the money. The hotel is currently towards the end of a refurbishment but that did not disrupt our stay. Unsure if our room had been done yet but was comfortable, quiet and extremely spacious. The air con was effective and not too noisy. Some minor areas of damage to door frames in the room and some tile damage and yellowing of shower seal but did not detract away from cleanliness

Would not rate this as a 5-star hotel. Miles apart from other Pullmans we've visited. On arrival, there were multiple silverfishes in our room and the smell from the recent renovation was quite unpleasant. Staff was nice. Spa is quite small but pleasant. The windows do not offer daylight and the rooms were dark. The sink is located outside the bathroom close to the bed. Overall I would not visit here again and go for the Hilton instead. Usually I prefer Pullmans, but not this time.
