Pullman Sanya Yalong Bay Villas & Resort

I'd recommend this hotel for everybody who looking for comfortable vacation in Sanya. Very cozy rooms, the big area of the hotel and high professional staff make your rest unbelievable.

I recently stayed at the Pullman Sanya Yalong Bay Villas and Resort and, overall, it was a pleasant experience — but not without its flaws. The resort has a lot of potential thanks to its beautiful surroundings and appealing layout, but certain aspects fell short of expectations, especially given the Pullman brand's usual standard. First, the food was the true highlight of our stay. The breakfast buffet was exceptional, offering a wide variety of both local and international dishes, all freshly prepared and well-presented. It catered to all tastes, from traditional Chinese breakfasts to Western-style options, and the quality was consistently high. The restaurant staff were friendly, attentive, and professional, contributing to a relaxed and enjoyable dining atmosphere. However, several other aspects of the stay were disappointing. The room we were assigned was very dated. The furniture was worn, with some pieces broken or literally falling apart, and the overall condition of the room made it feel more like a budget hotel than a luxury resort. The interior design felt old-fashioned, and the maintenance clearly hasn’t kept up with the resort’s intended standard. The pool area, which could have been a major highlight, was unfortunately sectioned off, limiting access and reducing the enjoyment of the space. On top of that, the slide and the jacuzzi were both not functioning, which was a big letdown — especially for families or guests looking to unwind and have some fun in the water. The gym was mediocre at best. While it had some basic equipment, the space was small, the selection was limited, and it lacked the modern, clean feel you’d expect at a resort of this caliber. It felt more like an afterthought than a fully equipped fitness center. Despite these issues, the overall setting of the resort is beautiful. The tropical gardens and villa-style layout offer a tranquil and relaxing environment, and the location within Yalong Bay is great for accessing beaches and nearby attractions. With some investment in refurbishing the rooms, repairing broken amenities, and upgrading the gym, this could easily be one of the top resorts in the area. In summary, while I did enjoy parts of my stay — especially the food and the setting — there’s significant room for improvement. I hope the management takes steps to address the maintenance and facility issues, because the potential is certainly there.

What a terrible hotel. Certainly the worst Pullman I've ever stayed at. The room decoration was outdated 20years ago. It may be a fake Pullman? The staff matches the hotel rooms, totally not interested in customer service. If the price was half it would still not be a price worthy. Go to the neighbouring Marriott instead. Avoid this hotel.
