We booked a day safari as we were staying in Grahamstown. Greated with a welcome drink of lemonade and muffins. Tour lasted about 2.5 hours were we saw an abundance of animals. Our incredible guide Sappo asked us what animals we really wanted to see so he knew what to prioritise. Unfortunately no lions at that point but we then had a delicious buffet lunch with wine and dessert. After lunch on our drive back to the gate we went on one last path to try and find a lion and there was one just lying in the middle of the path. Amazing end to the day.
Me and my wife just finished a six night stay at the water lodge for part of our honeymoon. It exceeding our expectations and was a trip we’ll remember for the rest of our lives. The gemsbok chalet we had was amazing, had everything we could wish for. The views of the lake and the animals were incredible. The food was really good and the staff are a credit to the reserve. They are such nice people who will do anything for you. We were very lucky to have prince who is a young but very knowledgeable ranger. He made our week at pumba and went above and beyond for us to find the animals. We would 100% return in the future.
A magical honeymoon in the Bush Lodge - we loved our stay at Pumba and have recommended to lots of other couples. The hospitality staff were wonderful and the accommodation luxurious, but of course the natural surroundings are the star of the show. We were lucky to be with Zuks, who expertly tracked lions, cheetahs, rhinos, buffalo, elephants, as well as a variety of smaller mammals and lots of birds. He taught us a lot and is an asset to the reserve. Pumba exceeded our expectations - thank you.
