Punnamada Resorts

It's a good resort with lake on one side. The food is good. Not best. Super ambience. It's an ideal place for newly married couples. Only disadvantage I felt is the route to reach the resort ie. only approx.2. km having potholes and narrow lanes.

I will start by saying that this is an extremely scenic resort. The views of the lake and houseboats are amazing. But where this place falls short are the rooms. They are dark and dingy and the bathroom was very dirty. I stayed at the 702 or 703 room and my party had all 5 five rooms in that row. The bathroom had open slits for the ceiling and bamboo for one of the walls. I went in the monsoon so everything was wet all the time. There was some sort of mould growing on bamboo. This was the dirtiest bathroom I have seen for this type of resort. A damp smell would also penetrate the room as soon as you opened the bathroom door. There lizards and slugs in the bathroom and also some type of centipede. The bedding also was smelly. The staff was not the most pleasant, but the restaurant staff and food was good. I had an afternoon on the house boat and canoe ride through the backwaters, which was a fun and unique experience. I would not stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone.

Worst experience ever. Completely ruined our holiday. Rooms are Completely filled with bugs ,frogs,centipede. Snakes are also in the garden and water pond. Maintenance is very bad . There is a awful smell inside the rooms . Not really safe after it gets dark cause no idea what insects will come. Repeated same for 2 days both for lunch and dinner. Not recommend able.
