Punthill Oakleigh

I recently stayed at Punthill service apartments for eight weeks with my family, being a stressful time with relocating to the area the team were incredible. From the reception always checking on on us and taking time to interact and ask us about our day, especially Brenda who allways had a big smile on her face and was so lovely to my daughter every time they saw each other. The cleaning staff were great. They always gave us extra towels and made sure that the apartment was clean on a regular basis again always happy to have a quick chat and big smiles. I would highly recommend these service apartments for anyone, especially if you have a family or staying a little longer than a couple of days, very friendly environment.

Rooms are old, tired. Beds are saggy. Small TV in bedroom. Main room good-sized TV. Dirty cutlery/crockery!!! The cleaner (who did NOT clean our room!), Catherine, is awesome! Impeccable service. Other staff are friendly. It’s just the rooms and the location. It’s a meh from me, sorry.

If only a zero star was available. This was, without question, the most revolting accommodation experience I have ever had. • No clean linen – After check‑in, I contacted their operator and was told to “grab linen from a storage cupboard.” There was none – only towels. • Filthy bed – The bed was covered in long and short pubic hairs. Clearly, it had not been cleaned or changed from the previous guest. • Hair all through the bathroom – Every surface was unhygienic and disgusting. • Reeking of cigarette smoke – The entire building stinks. My room was so bad I had to sleep with the door open just to breathe. • I was so appalled I slept on towels, fully dressed, and was too afraid to shower. This property is a health hazard and should be shut down until it meets basic hygiene standards. I will be reporting it to health authorities and Airbnb directly. Do yourself a favour: avoid this place at all costs. It is unfit to be advertised or occupied.
