A true Balinese experience from this incredible boutique hotel, situated away from the center. Positives - Very friendly staff providing first class service - I wish I had obtained the names of our favourites. - Amazing breakfast with western and Indonesian options served in your villa. Fresh ingredients cooked very well. - Room service prices are very reasonable - Comfortable bed (with mosquito net) and sheets. - Adequate number of water bottles provided - 2min walk from local laundromat. Negatives - Outdoor shower is cool at first and considered a novelty, but not as comfortable as it should be if indoors. - The first villa can get quite noisy due to the primary of the kitchen. - Internet is patchy. Doesn’t work in some areas of the villa.
Purana is a beautiful resort about a 30-minute walk from the Monkey Sanctuary. They also offer a free shuttle service to Ubud every two hours, which was super convenient. The staff were incredibly kind and always checked in to make sure I was comfortable and enjoying my stay. Initially, I was given a room in the main building, which was an adjoining room. Unfortunately, I could hear everything from the neighbouring room and also some noise from the pool, which made it hard to relax—especially after a sunrise trek to Mt. Batur. I asked to be moved to a quieter space, and the staff were very understanding. They relocated me to a villa that was available at the time—absolutely amazing, peaceful, and with a private pool. I really appreciated their flexibility and warm hospitality. I would definitely recommend this resort and would love to come back again the next time I’m in Bali.
Absolutely fantastic place to stay. The customer service was exceptional right from booking and arranging transfers, to service at the room. The breakfast was brilliant, and we were able to really relax and unwind, with massages at the room. They put so much effort into perfecting everything. The villa was pristine, with lovely facilities. The staff were all exceptionally friendly and professional.
