Pure Monchique Hotel Villa Termal Spa Resort

Booked and paid for two nights... left after the first. Our room was on first and a half floor... (elevator to first floor and then a set of stairs... unpleasant with luggage and perhaps asked upon the check in if elevador... not told half hike being by stais). Small dark room with a weird shaped balcony. While the hotel was not fully booked in an off-season week day, I think they could have done better. The check-in is done across the street, some 80 feet away from the hotel. The advertised four stars for the hotel should be more like HOSTEL with an inside room bathroom. Not to mention carpet stains inside the room and as they claim 4 stars... no coffee/tea in room and restaurant is a five minuteswalk... In October, the pool water was unpleasantly cold, and there was no availability for the spa... Overall, it seems the upkeep of this hotel was abandoned long ago.. I wish we slipped visiting this property...

Gross. Old. Worn. Feels like a neglected bad college dorm room. Shower didn’t work well, leaked alllllll over the floor. TV is about the side of my laptop screen, not sure why it’s even in here. Bed is rock hard in a terrible way. Sheets are sand paper like and don’t fit the bed. Rug is nasty, curled, trip hazard and big red stains. AC is terrible. Hallways are kinda like going down the halls of a creepy dingy hospital ward you shouldn’t be in. U.S. hotel compare is Red Roof Inn.

Terrible service. Poor room. It’s our wedding anniversary and we asked a bottle of sparkling wine- they dever delivered. My husband said that he would pay. But, again, we are still waiting. Poor breakfast. The only good thing is the location. Not worth the price!!!!
