Puri Sebali Resort

We spent a few nights at Puri Sebali Resort and it was truly fantastic! Upon arrival, we received a free room upgrade due to a booking issue on Booking.com, which was handled with such kindness and professionalism. From the very beginning, we felt incredibly welcome. The staff were absolutely wonderful and made sure every detail of our stay was perfect. Each night when we returned to our room, the bed had been beautifully prepared for sleep. Decorative pillows removed, the canopy drawn, and the blanket folded back for easy access. They even left a lovely short story and a small treat on the bed each evening, which made it feel extra special. The resort itself is peaceful and stunning, with a gorgeous pool overlooking the rice fields. Because it’s located away from the main road, it’s wonderfully quiet and relaxing. A true escape from the busy world. This was hands down the best resort experience we’ve ever had! highly, highly recommended!

I stayed at Puri Sebali for 5 days, splitting my time between a room with a private pool and another with an incredible view of the rice fields — both were fantastic in their own ways! The staff were outstanding, always checking in to make sure everything was perfect. They went the extra mile with beautiful decorations for birthdays and proposals during our stay, which made it even more special. Communication was excellent both before our arrival and throughout our stay. The hotel also offered thoughtful complimentary experiences like a 30-minute massage, a yoga class, and a guided walk through the rice fields, which added a lot to the relaxing atmosphere. If you’re looking for a place to unwind and disconnect, this is an amazing choice. I’d definitely recommend it and would happily come back! A few things to consider: • It’s about a 20-minute scooter ride to central Ubud, so factor that in if you’re planning frequent trips into town. • There’s no gym on-site, though you’re welcome to use the yoga mats by the pool area. • The Wi-Fi is available but quite slow, so if you need to work remotely or stream, it might be a challenge. Overall, a wonderful stay in a serene location with warm, attentive service. Highly recommend!

Absolutely lovely place to stay. The service here was truly exceptional, and the staff were absolutely lovely. My fiancée and I were impressed with how lovely the location is, overlooking the rice terraces and the lovely sounds of nature. No construction noise or traffic sounds as if you’d hear in Ubud Center. It is about 30 minutes drive from Ubud itself, along some difficult to drive streets, however it is shorter on a scooter/bike. We enjoyed this though, as it was good to have some separation from the loud streets while also being close enough that we could grab a gojek when we wanted to head into Ubud. The pool is lovely and the staff were always responsive to any requests we had. The restaurant breakfast and food available on request suited us well. We cannot recommend it enough, they truly spoiled us.
