Hotel was sold to us as 4 star but in reality it is far away. Even staff is trying to be helpful it doesn’t help since they are low on staff. Breakfast and dinner are quite ok. Rooms need to be cleaned much better, upon arrival in the room after check in we found ants on the floor and cups and spoons were dirty. Beach is close and nice, subbed and umbrellas are old and need replace. In reality this is 2 star hotel.
The Q Resort is a beautiful property nestled in the pine forest on Platamona beach. It enjoys an excellent location, convenient for reaching both Alghero and Stintino in 30-40 minutes by car (we highly recommend an off-road excursion to Asinara Island). We were very disappointed by the shortcomings in the service and organization of the property, which fall short of a four-star standard. We liked the basic rooms, but we didn't expect the bath and bed linens to be stained and full of hair, despite being changed several times. We didn't expect the unbearable smell that came from the shower and permeated the entire room. We didn't expect the dishes to be constantly dirty at every meal, from breakfast to dinner. The menu items lacked labels listing the ingredients, let alone allergens. We pointed out everything and more upon our arrival, and the entire staff made themselves available, but they weren't able to significantly improve. Alice and Manuel, the two young people in charge of entertainment, were the wonderful surprise of the entire week. We thank them so much for bringing so many fun and exciting moments to our days, and especially our evenings. Before leaving, we shared with other guests who were as disappointed as we were the bottle of prosecco we found, along with a letter of apology, the day of our first complaints. What a humorous gesture to lighten the mood! A real shame; there's so much room for improvement.
Will never recomend this hotel, we had a reservation and 7 days before the date my father passed away, we tried to cancel 6 days before and for one day the hotel refused to cancel the reservation and kept the whole reservation payment. They did not even offer us to use the reservation on a future date, just simply zero empathy for the situation we where going through.
