Q Resort Rayong

Nice place. However, out of the 3 rooms we booked, one room smells like old wood even after the housekeeping spray something. All in all, our 4-night stay is superb!

I'm not usually one to fuss about these things, but I felt it necessary seeing as others may benefit from me sharing some info. This hotel seriously needs a re-rating as I feel like it may be false advertising to call this a 4-star hotel. The Centara Q may have been a 4 Star hotel in the past but is currently very worn down and needs a lot of work to maintain this particular rating. The hot tub in our deluxe room was not working and we were swapped out to another room which had hot water but insufficient water pressure. The staff were very helpful and were trying their best to deal with the situation, but aside from renovating the entire property there's not much help. To spare others from a similar experience it may be best to adjust down to a 2 or 3 star rating. Pricing for the the stay was also not warranted with the quality of the rooms and build. If you’re deciding, my suggestion is to run away!! We had stayed in this hotel more than 10 years ago and it was nice. Returning to this hotel again with two young kids, expecting the same facilities and cleanliness, turned to be a nightmare. The only good thing was the kids corner that seemed to open from 11:00 to late at night & great hospitality of staff. The room was worn out with no good maintenance or repair. The floor on the balcony was crooked. We even greeted by a cockroach on the drink bar. The breakfast was horrible with limited selection and insufficient foods and kitchenwares for guests. The towels came late and smelled so badly. The swimming pool was old with broken tiles and unstable ladder and filled with cigarette smoke from the beach. This is the worst hotel i ever stayed at this price. I wondered if people paid a lot for this kind of service. Never again!!
