The service was friendly and efficient, the location very good, right beside the train station (I was staying just one night and then taking a train), the room was a decent size, with a desk, good air-con, the bed was comfortable and the decor, while not to my taste, was a least different. However two things badly let it down…the water in the sink, when turned to cold, was basically a trickle…warm and hot was perfect pressure. And the real issue…my room, 232, was really noisy - over a busy road beside the train station. I thought the window was open when I arrived…it wasn’t. So unfortunately I woke up at 6am with cars and trains, and while not extremely loud, I couldn’t sleep more with it. It’s a pity, as really cleanliness, service, and bed comfort was all very good.

Excellent location, only 90 metres from railway station, and rooms soundproofed, so I haven't heard a single train. Room is a good size, with a separate toilet and bathroom. The hotel is very large, so little chance of a view. After staying for 14 nights, my impression is somewhat different. The building does look good, but I get the feeling that little attention is paid to basic maintenance. My tv remote didn't work and needed changing, and the safe had stopped working because the batteries had expired. These were fixed fairly quickly. After about 10 days, a member of staff (Teddi) asked if I was happy with the hotel. I mentioned that my bed had capsized on one side. Amazingly, it had been changed when I returned, which really impressed me. Unfortunately, the most annoying aspect was the poor room cleaning service. The vacuum wasn't used every day. I tracked one item which took 3 days to be removed. Several times, the coffee pods, or sugar, or stirrers had not been replaced so I went out and bought my own supplies. I also had to clean the coffee cups before using them (see photo), and the lady cleaning the room was not at all pleasant. Someone has clearly invested heavily into building this hotel, so I really hope that the owners can reverse many of these annoying issues, because otherwise, the quality will fall. I was delighted to see how invested Teddi was in his role. Because of his intervention, I added back one star. Attention to detail is imperative here!
