Quality Hotel Pampulha & Convention Center

Quality Hotel Pampulha is comfortable but not ideally located. It’s a 30-minute walk from the nearest natural park, and the area is noisy with busy streets and occasional homeless passersby. Public transport or a car is essential. The hotel’s independent restaurant serves good breakfast and dinner, though dinner can be pricey. One downside was the constant BBQ smell in the lobby. Good for a comfortable stay if location isn’t a priority.

This is a good option if you’re on a budget and the location is needed for you. Rooms are basic, and quality of items like linens and beds and towels is low. That said, the restaurant is good, the staff is very friendly and helpful, and the price was reflective of the above, I do not feel overcharged. Stayed here one week with colleagues for a work trip. Would not come back.

This is one of the worst, lowest-quality hotels that I have ever stayed in. Reasons for my low rating: 1. The air conditioning did not work properly and they could not repair it. The room was swamped with water during the entire stay. 2. The lamp did not work properly. 3. The TV did not work and they could not repair it. 4. Fitness room had broken equipment 5. Sauna was permanently closed (for "maintenance"). 6. The service at front desk was super unfriendly and rude. 7. Upon check-in they told me that I have to go look for a chair in another room (there was none in my room) and move that chair to my own room (true story) myself. Do not stay there.
