Quality Resort Parkhurst

Comfortable bed, clean room, clean bathroom. Quiet location. Although it is on the main road it is set back from the road and there is no traffic noise. Dinning $15 continental breakfast or order other hot breakfast, espresso coffee, variety of milks. Only issue is people smoking outside their rooms and the smoke entering our room.

We stayed one night on our way to Airlie Beach, stopping by Parkhurst. The location is very convenient—right off the highway—and the rooms have been newly renovated. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The next day, our daughter realized she had left behind her koala toy, which we had just bought from Sydney Taronga zoo. By that time, we were already two hours away and couldn’t go back to collect it. The hotel staff went above and beyond—they found the toy and kindly arranged to post it to our next hotel. Thanks to their kindness, this little koala has become even more meaningful to our Australia trip. We’re truly grateful!

The room and service were incredible! The only let down was the food and the price. Unfortunately our $52 steaks were undercooked and the staff were run off their feet so couldn’t check how everything was so just left it uneaten. $19 for a small dessert was very expensive also for the area. If we were to return we would absolutely stay again but find elsewhere for dinner.
