Qube Hotel Bergheim

Excellent! A very clean, quiet and comfortable hotel. Good service and nice food. Really enjoyed my four day stay here.

Rooms are comfortable and clean. Breakfast was great. There is a parking for a reasonable charge. The walking distance to the old city centre is 15 minutes.

Disappointed overall. We had a booked confirmation for three rooms for two nights recently for the Qube Bergheimer Str. When the reception lady told us that the rooms were facing the courtyard, I was excited as we thought it would mean less noise from the street. Turns out, while it was quiet from the street, the hotel's restaurant has a permanent tent in the courtyard, where staff they take their breaks and have loud chitchats, smoke or make personal phone calls, which all is unappreciated noise which can only be blocked somewhat if you actually close all windows, which we did not want to for fresh air supply. There is also a little storeroom behind that tent which gets accessed frequently by the kitchen staff. When I informed reception about this, she said it has always been like this. So don't rent out rooms on that side! We also went up to the rooftop area once for a quick look and my wife slipped and almost had a fall due to a very slippery wooden floor - how irresponsible!!! This could be a huge liability if an accident should occur! As for the rooms, they were modern but very dim lighted! Even the closet (clothes area) was extremely dark with the dimmest light possible. Lastly, since we all arrived at different points, one member of my family was required to pay for their room out of pocket despite the whole amount already being covered by a single booking made almost two months prior. They were unable to refund on the spot. Overall, the hotel is nice and the breakfast buffet has been good, but for the points noted, I would not recommend it.
