The state-owned, multi-story half-timbered building, dating from 1614, was built by master carpenter Wulf Götze and his father Friedrich Götze for master baker Matthias Bergmann. The initials of the master builder and owner are immortalized in the ornamentation. The house has been lovingly renovated in recent years. A stylishly furnished vacation apartment is located on the second floor.
We had a city tour that was absolutely fantastic! Different types of half-timbered houses (spanning centuries) are clearly recognizable. I would highly recommend a city tour.
Very elaborately restored and worth seeing like the other old facades of this beautiful city
