Absolutely phenomenal beer battered fish and chips, compliments to the chef. After hiking for 9 hours straight in intense heat we really needed this kind of quality pub meal! The staff were friendly and dealt with our large group of people spread over 3 tables exceptionally well! I'd definitely be back here! Thankyou!
A fantastic pub/hotel to stay at, from check in to departure after breakfast. The staff were brilliant and Tracey in particular made me than welcome. Evening meal was delicious and breakfast was equally so,the room was spotless and well equipped, the bed was extremely comfortable. highly recommended and good value for money.
Went for the lunchtime cabaret today and was left feeling disappointed. I have been several times and the food and service has always been good. The waiting staff good as always especially with the amount of people they had to get meals too . Ended up waiting still almost halfpast one for my meal ...when it arrived was not up to the usual good standard and was only warm instead of being hot ..they ran out out mushy peas so had garden peas instead...some of us originally ordered the cheesecake in the menu and we're told they had run out so chose ice-cream instead which was fine ...but then told they had a different cheesecake which was nice ...so some confusion..it seemed that maybe to many bookings had been made ... Well done to the waiting staff for their usual good service.
