Queen's Hotel Kandy 160 Years of Heritage

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Queen’s Hotel in Kandy with our family, and it was a truly memorable experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us with exceptional warmth and hospitality. The guest service was outstanding — they really go out of their way to make you feel welcome and cared for. I would like to specially thank Michelle for making our family feel comfortable throughout our stay. The hotel’s colonial architecture is absolutely stunning and adds a unique charm to the entire experience. It’s rich in history and character, yet well-maintained with all the modern conveniences. The food and beverage options were excellent. We enjoyed a variety of delicious dishes, and the service at all the outlets was top-notch. The hotel bar was a great place to unwind in the evenings — cozy, well-stocked, and with a relaxing atmosphere. We also spent time at the pool, which was clean, well-kept, and perfect for both kids and adults to enjoy after a day of sightseeing. Overall, Queen’s Hotel offers a perfect blend of comfort, elegance, and warm hospitality. It’s an ideal place for families, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kandy. We had an amazing stay at Queens! Our residential program, which brought together around 150 participants, was held over three days, and the support we received from the hotel staff was outstanding from start to finish. From our very first contact with the banquet coordinator, we were impressed by the professionalism, responsiveness, and willingness to accommodate our needs. Throughout all three days of the program, the entire staff went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly and efficiently. Special thanks to the hotel manager for their hands-on involvement and continuous support, which made a huge difference in the success of our event. The food was excellent—each meal was delicious, beautifully presented, and served with such care. The service was truly top-notch. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the event spaces well-equipped, and every request we made was handled promptly and with a smile. It was clear that the team at Queens takes great pride in their work. We are sincerely grateful for the dedication and hard work of everyone who contributed to making our stay and our program a memorable and successful experience. We look forward to coming back again in the future!

My family and I have stayed at the Queen's hotel in the past. We find that Airbnb's offer more accommodating resources for families. The service here is great. However, it is a little over priced when ordering drinks and food. There are better hotels in the Kandy area to stay at and prices vary.
