Oh man I really appreciated the reception team. They were all so good to communicate with and had such kind manner in their voices. I spoke on 3 different occasions over the phone, with 3 different people, two ladies and a man and all 3 had great customer service skills and communication. Only 2 of them I saw in person and they were very pleasant. The room I stayed in was a double room and it had a little kitchenette with plates, cups, glasses, plunger etc and utensils for 2 ppl, jug, toaster, cooker and a sink There were shampoo, conditioner and shower gel dispensers stationed in the shower - which I must say is a far better option than the little complimentary bottles you'd normally see, I mean, those were cool too but the dispensers are cooler! There was also a washer and a dryer too which kinda had me like "oh wow!". My stay was very easy and convenient and New World supermarket is just a few minutes walk down the road and there are some eateries nearby too. Big thanks to the team at Quest! You and the hotel are awesome and I will be back same time next year 👌👌👌
Love this place. It’s my go to location when I travel to Auckland. The staff make you feel so welcome. It’s close to motorways and the rooms are clean and comfortable, feels like a home away from home. Highly recommend.
If there was minus stars then the reception deserve the lowest score. The front desk training seems to be seriously insufficient. On 9th May at 5:05 pm, when we arrived the hotel for check in, I was met with a disappointing situation. The front desk staff member flatly refused to honor our two - night reservation, even after I showed her the booking confirmation. She claimed that the name on my credit card and NZ driver's license didn't match the "guest name" I filled in during the reservation process. However, the "guest name" I provided was simply a prefer name. Despite presenting valid identification and the booking confirmation the hotel sent to my cellphone, she (the reception) rigidly adhered to the literal name match requirement, ignoring the obvious identity connection. When we asked for if there's any solutions, she simply just showed it was nothing she could help. This not only caused us a great inconvenience but also revealed her lack of professional training in handling such situations. What's more frustrating is that I later remembered I booked the hotel through Booking.com. I could simply changing the guest name to my ID name on the platform, I was finally able to complete the check in. It's truly disappointing that the staff member didn't know such a straight forward solution, which further highlights this front desk is unskilled.
