Quinta da Barroca

Just spent the most magical two days staying in the beautiful grounds of Quinta da Barroca and exploring the spectacular Douro valley. The rooms were beautiful with everything you could need and stunning views of the countryside around. There is an indoor and outdoor pool which was perfect for relaxing and overall the facilities were fantastic - exactly what we had hoped for! Highly recommend if you want a peaceful getaway in the beautiful Douro!

Amazing hotel in the middle of nowhere. If you want to enjoy a quiet time, this is the place for you. Some good restaurants are close by, but you can also bring some cheese and a bottle of whine and have a chilly evening in front of the room. The indoor pool is heated and very warm. We were there in the apple season. Could hand pick some apples which is a great experience if you are from a city. Covered parking available. Great staff and a happy house cat outside.

A highlight was the sunset vineyard picnic, where we handpicked fruits from the domaine's fields, adding a personal touch to our stay. We were so enamored with our experience that we extended our stay for an additional two nights.
