We really enjoyed our stay at the Quinta da Bela Vista. What stood out most was the friendly and attentive staff. All the staff were great. But the 2 staff that stood out most to us: Paula from reception who was so friendly and helpful, providing us with her advice for our days out. And Mohammed from the pool bar. He is such a friendly and great waiter, and this encouraged us to eat/ drink at the pool bar most of the time! Food/ drink good. Hotel grounds lovely. Great stay! Thank you.
A wonderful experience ! My hotel bedroom was spacious and beautiful. The hotel was calm and peaceful, with lovely scenery (garden, swimming pool, jacuzzi). The meals were good, with homemade dishes. Honors to Paula for her kindness and being attentive to our needs. She helped us to plan our excursions. She made our day much easier ! Thank you.
Hotel was okay, gardens and views were impressive but insufficient parking was an issue. It was a steep walk down to central Funchal and not one you would consider on the way back. As a hotel it lacked space and privacy (guests were packed together around the pool and dining areas).
