Loved this place! Calm and relaxing with only a few hotel guests, making the whole property feel private. Excellent service by the owners. The grandchildren of the house asked several times if they could get us something by the pool (wine, food etc). Such a lovely place! We’d love to come back. Note that you need a car to get there. Google maps will automatically show the bad road from Porto, but there is another better way to drive.
Angela was a wonderful hostess! She made certain our scheduled wine tour was on track & was ready to take us there when our pick-up appeared to be delayed. Our room & the property were beautiful. Their food & wine were excellent. We hope to return to the Douro Valley. When we do, we'll be staying at Quinta da Marka. Obrigata, Angela!
This is such a beautiful, peaceful place to stay! The food and wine were incredible, and the manager Angela could not have been more sweet and accommodating. We had our 6 month old with us, and she was constantly checking on us, and even arranged for us to have our private space for dinner. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening!
