Maybe the best holidays of my life! In the top 3 with sailing in Corsica and backpacking in western China & Thailand. I took the dirt bike package with Offtrack. Amazing way to visit the region, breathtaking landscape, really a gem in the Douro! And the team really goes the extra mile for you to get the best overall experience possible (ex: picked-me up from the airport) The home-cooked food was delicious, true Portuguese hospitality! Perfect rehab from the city life ;P
Had a fantastic stay. Beautiful location with amazing views from the pool. Really nice hosts who made us feel very much at home. The country has only just opened up following the pandemic so the whole area was lovely and quiet.
Horrible location, well hidden in the hills about 17 minutes drive from Amarante. You'd better have the best GPS in the world to find this place. It's super quiet here. The rooms were extremely dark, impossible to read a book. The owner's photos of room interiors are deceptive. The breakfast buffet was quite good but it's only continental/ no hot foods. The owner seemed totally uncaring about guests and wouldn't even say hello or acknowledge our presence. Bizarre. Our worst lodging experience in Portugal. Totally overpriced.
