A really beautiful and quite place to stay! Mrs Patricia (the hostess) is such a wonderful person, willing to help for whatever we needed and provide us any information we asked for! Rooms were quite spacious and beds really comfy!! Breakfast was great - really enjoyed the freshly squeezed orange juice!
About two hours from the hustle and bustle of Lisbon is an oasis of rural charm and quiet. Quinta das Ratoeiras offers a very personal experience with it's six rooms (each with it's own patio hammock) and wonderful, local breakfast. Don't miss the tomatillo jam or the grapes from the surrounding vineyards! Walk through the vineyards and ask about the 1000 year old olive trees.
When you are looking for a remote and quiet place to stay overnight or for some days this one may fit. Nice and clean rooms with new furniture and a little terace. Extraordinary breakfast for Portugal. Patricia is a nice host and speaks fluent English. The place is just a little hard to find since there are no signs guiding to the Quinta.
