Quinta do Monte Panoramic Gardens

We stayed here because it was close to the hike we wanted to do. We did not expect much, but we were really surprised by the beauty of the property. Also the receptionist was really kind and was very helpful. We left early and they made us a breakfast package to go. Also the welcome drink was surprisingly good.

Very pleasant experience in this magnificent place. The rooms are incredible, and the location just as amazing! We’re absolutely delighted.

I’ve been traveling around the world for many years and have experienced a wide range of hospitality. In times of emergency, I’ve always found that people are willing to help and show understanding. Unfortunately, that was not the case here. While I was in Madeira, my father became suddenly and seriously ill. I informed this hotel several days in advance about the situation and had to cancel my stay. Every other hotel on my itinerary responded with compassion and waived their cancellation fees—except this one. Despite the circumstances, this hotel prioritized profit over empathy. The way they handled the situation was cold and unaccommodating, adding unnecessary stress during an already difficult time. For me, this is not just about policy—it’s about basic human decency. I do not recommend this place.
