Very quiet and peacefull. Lovely host and great garden. Good place for hiking or go to the beach. Car needed.
We had great days there. You definitely a car. There are beautiful beaches in the surroundings.
I'll start by saying the service is really wonderful and the owner is very sweet and lovely. She obviously pours a lot of love into this place. I'm going to review this as a Canadian on vacation in Portugal. We booked this experience thinking it would be a little bit different and fun. We like the idea of the place being isolated and quiet. We also liked the idea of it being a little apartment to be able to cook and barbecue and do your own thing. It was all of those things. However, the road to this place is a little stressful. I wouldn't drive it at night in the dark. So here are a few tips if you want to stay here. Do your grocery shopping before you arrive. This place does not provide even two complimentary coffee pods for you to get anchored. Our unit provides all basic cooking utensils, pots, pans, coffee maker etc. And there was some charcoal there to barbecue. Just enough for one barbecue. So bring your charcoal. Another thing that I really wished there'd be a minor improvement on was that the pillows we're terrible. I mean empty of stuffing. And there was no sheet on the bed under the bedding. Also, if you're not local, you don't really necessarily know about the ants. You cannot throw your garbage in the garbage can. Whatever food or waste you have, put it in a bag and put it back in the fridge until you can dispose of. If you leave any food in the garbage can, you are likely to get ants. Which means that you cannot leave any food of any kind or dirty dishes on the counter. You must clean up immediately. I found this to be one step up from camping - sort of glamping. It was nice for a couple of nights but the fact that we weren't able to drive that road at night limited us to staying on site in the evenings. Which is fine. We had fun but it's not the ultimate situation for us. The pool was not clean but in all fairness it was the end of the season so maybe that was not a priority for them. I think people in the wellness industry or nature lovers will really be attracted to this. For us after two nights of glamping, it was enough. We had our fun. We were ready to move on. I could see this property being really good for families with small children. Again though, the road coming in and out is a bit daunting for folks that are not used to driving in those conditions. So keep that in mind. We we're greeted also by the cat. He was very friendly. If you like adventure, this is a good spot for you!
