Quinta dos Baldo

We stumbled across this gem of a place when touring on our motorcycle. The hosts Jose and Maria, were so kind and warm and welcoming. The property is situated on its own about 30m from the quiet road and is surrounded by olive groves, vineyards and mountains. The rooms are large and very well equipped, ours had walk in shower , queen size bed, and the front opened onto a terrace leading up to a generous size and well maintained swimming pool with loungers and even hammocks. The hosts provided home made food, made with products some grown by themselves. We even had a small flask of port in our room. The breakfast was freshly prepared and very nicely served by Maria. After a simple home cooked meal, Maria enthusiastically entertained us with her singing! She has a beautiful voice and it was a unique experience, one we will never forget.

Lovely quiet location surrounded by grape vines and olive trees. The couple who run this place went above and beyond to make our stay special. Thank you both.

I have nothing to complain about ... Spacious cosy and airconditioned rooms with a nice bathroom, a very clean pool, and last but not least a very hospitable host who cooks a really great meal! 100% recommended!
