We booked 2 rooms as we were meeting friends that evening. The rooms were spotlessly clean, comfortable and pleasant. We booked to eat, 6 adults and a child, and the food was of a superb quality. Maybe the portions were a little small. The service from the hotel team was exceptional. From the moment we approached Reception to the entire experience of dining. Friendly, polite and helpful one and all, Leo and Piotr were magnificent, nothing was too much trouble and all with a smile. We stayed the one night before travelling back North and can say that our experience was ideal. Value for money and highly recommend

My room on the second floor apparently time-traveled straight from the '70s, complete with an AC unit that serenaded me with the dulcet tones of a dying swamp creature. And the flickering bulb above the bed? It was less 'relaxing ambiance' and more 'urgent Morse code SOS' that I couldn't quite decipher. The 'Spa' clearly subscribes to the vintage aesthetic as well. I half-expected to see Jane Fonda leading an aerobics class in leg warmers. The pool area and changing rooms? Let's just say they had a certain 'post-apocalyptic chic' vibe, with paint doing its best impression of confetti falling from the ceiling. For the grand sum of £134 for one night, I've had more luxurious experiences sleeping in my car (and that's saying something). My attempt to commune with nature on the grounds turned into an Indiana Jones-style escapade. I discovered a fallen tree playing gatekeeper to a footbridge, seemingly a long-term resident. My scenic stroll options appeared limited to a charming dirt track conveniently located next to the soothing sounds of the motorway. All in all, a truly memorable experience, though perhaps not for the reasons the hotel intended. Next time, I might just pitch a tent – at least the wildlife might be less noisy.

This was so disappointing. We booked a 4 poster bedroom which we were not given. Asked reception to book a taxi, they didn't so we were late. Waited ages for food. Were given a late check out as compensation for the room mix up but they then called at 11.10am to ask why we hadn't checked out. Room keys don't work properly. I would not stay here again.
