A Hidden Gem for Relaxation and Luxury I had the pleasure of staying at R Degrees Boutique Hotel & Spa, and I honestly can't recommend it enough. From the moment I arrived, I felt a sense of warmth and tranquility. The staff greeted me with a smile, and their attention to detail made me feel like I was being treated like royalty. The hotel itself is beautifully designed—chic, modern, and immaculately clean. Every corner exudes elegance, with a perfect blend of contemporary style and cozy charm. The rooms are spacious, luxurious, and equipped with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. I was particularly impressed with the bed, which provided one of the best night’s sleep I’ve had in a while! The dining options were also top-notch. The food was delicious, and the breakfast spread offered a wide variety of choices to satisfy every palate. The staff was always attentive without being overbearing, and their service was impeccable. If you're looking for a luxurious, peaceful retreat, R Degrees Boutique Hotel & Spa is an absolute must-visit. Whether you're here for a quick getaway or a longer stay, you won't be disappointed. I’m already planning my next visit!

It is a very charming and beautiful place. The staff is very friendly. It is very suitable for a vacation, enjoying the freedom and spending time with the sea breeze.

We stayed in this hotel for three days after a 7-day tour of Sri Lanka. It was booked for us by the tour operator, not by ourselves. When we arrived, we learnt that there had been an overbooking (according to our guide, probably not for the first time...) and we were put up for one night in another hotel (Splendour Residence, great!!). When we moved into our beautiful and spacious room the following day, it was unfortunately full of flying ants, which I found very unpleasant. However, after informing the housekeepers, someone came quickly with an insect spray and the problem was solved. The staff at this hotel are very nice, friendly and helpful! Our room 202 had a sea view, but this was limited by the many palm trees and to our left we had a view of another complex, which was not quite as attractive. The balcony was rather small and when it rained there was hardly enough space for two people to sit dry on it. The hotel is located on a beautiful beach, you can take a good walk to the right and left. Unfortunately, the current is rather strong and there are a lot of rocks in the water, which you can't always see well when swimming through the waves. There is a sunbathing area with a beautiful view of the sea and sunbeds arranged in pairs with parasols and a hotel pool. The pool towels are only provided relatively late, you just have to ask beforehand. The fitness room is not climated. To eat: breakfast consists of fruit, a glass of juice, 3 slices of toast with butter and strawberry jam. Then you can order 2 eggs, which are prepared as you wish (omelette, boiled, eggs benedict, scrambled eggs). There are also savoury side dishes if you like that for breakfast. Finally, you can choose between waffles, pancakes and French toast (all rather dry). That sounds good at first, but after the second morning it exhausts itself. There was no choice of cold cuts, cheese, pickles, peppers etc. This is not to sound ungrateful, but on our round trip we stayed in 6 other hotels before and the breakfast was better or more choice everywhere. There are 2 types of tea bags and no freshly made coffee, only Nescafe sachets. Otherwise, the tables are very lovingly laid and the staff were always ready to set us a table outside. Dinner was much better, there was a salad buffet, a very tasty soup and a main course to choose from in the morning. Unfortunately, the dessert was not so good. There was a plastic box of ice cream on the table, a mixed dessert and some fruit. The cola or water served was unfortunately not always cold. A service charge of 10% is added to the bill without being asked (this was not the case in any other hotel on our round trip). Unfortunately it rained a lot during our three days at this hotel, there were only two dry half days. However, there is nothing to see outside the hotel unless you want to book another excursion. You can't reach any destination worth mentioning on foot. A supermarket is about 200 metres away. The room service only took place at 16h, before that the toilet paper and shower gel had already run out. There was a clearly visible sign in the garden with the "offer of the day" for lunch. However, it turned out that it had been forgotten there and was not valid. We weren't offered the pizza anyway, so we had to order a Coke and a burger at the regular hotel price. The hotel itself is nice in terms of the rooms, but our impression was that there is room for improvement in terms of organisation and management. For us (aged 55 and 25), this was a 3-star hotel at best and we would not necessarily return.
