Rabat Marriott Hotel

This is a gorgeous hotel and the room / suite was amazing. The staff were super friendly, helpful, and attentive. Of course Maha was a standout. She really looked after us as I'm sure she does with every guest; she's definitely an asset to the hotel. The location is great as it backs onto a modern mall and is in a highly walkable neighborhood. The only downside was that our room was facing the street and due to the construction of a nearby stadium, it was perpetually noisy. I'm assuming the rooms facing the back are better but I recommend checking when you book.

I recently stayed at the Marriott and had a great overall experience. The hotel is beautiful, clean, and well-maintained — definitely a place that lives up to the Marriott name. One of the highlights of my stay was the gym — it’s spacious, modern, and very well-equipped. Truly one of the best hotel gyms I’ve seen, and I really enjoyed using it during my stay. However, there are two things I think the hotel should improve: • Lobby café service was quite weak. Staff were slow, and service felt a bit disorganized, which was disappointing compared to the otherwise high standards of the hotel. • A couple of years ago, I stayed in a suite with a pool view, and unfortunately, it was very noisy due to the loud music from the pool area. If you’re someone who prefers peace and quiet, I recommend choosing rooms that don’t face the pool to avoid this issue. Other than that, everything else was excellent — professional staff, beautiful spaces, and a luxurious atmosphere. I’d definitely consider staying again.

Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Price As a 5-star hotel charging premium rates, I expected much better value for money. Unfortunately, my stay was far below expectations for several reasons: 1. We experienced a full night without electricity throughout the hotel — no backup generator, no prior notice, and shockingly, no apology or compensation from the management. 2. Housekeeping staff repeatedly asked for feedback on their cleaning, which initially seemed like good service. But it quickly became clear they were pushing for tips, making the experience uncomfortable. 3. Room service staff often tried to discourage credit card payments. It felt like they were pushing for cash, likely to secure personal tips, which is unprofessional and frustrating for guests. 4. There is ongoing construction directly in front of the hotel, resulting in constant noise throughout the day, especially in the morning. This made it very difficult to relax or get proper rest. 5. The front desk made a lot of overpromises that were not delivered — from amenities to services that were simply not available or not as described. 6. On a positive note, the hotel’s location is great — right next to the mall, which makes shopping and dining convenient. Overall, I do not recommend this hotel and I definitely will not be returning. The experience was frustrating, unprofessional, and far from what you’d expect from a 5-star establishment.
