Rooms were nice and clean and front desk staff were amazing. The cleaner for the common areas was a legend, our boy lost his new stitch toy and he made it his mission to find and return it ontop of making the place shine and sparkle. Breakfast was great and the staff were friendly. The dinner menu and setting wasn't really family friendly or overly inviting on the Sunday night, the bar wasn't serving food and no-one delivered to the area, so we needed to go off site for dinner. Had a beautiful sunrise in the morning. Pool was warm and the kids loved the arcade games.
Great winter deal. Room comfy and clean. Shower a little small. Numerous breakfasts options, dinner absolutely delicious. Too cold for pool but used spa first night and was warm and invigorating. Unfortunately spa was only half full next night so couldn't use as jets were not covered by water and were spraying everywhere. Overall an enjoyable and relaxing stay
We have stayed at Goldfields several times and have thoroughly enjoyed very aspect of our stays. Meals have always been a highlight. In our recent stay we asked our daughter and son in law to join us and praised Goldfields as we looked forward to our stay. Everything about our stay was top class except the meal on Friday 15 August. We booked at 6:15 and from there on the meal disappointed. The included meal was dreadfully slow and it seemed as if our order was misplaced because everything was so slow. It took around 2 hours. Others were served, ate their meal and left. We waited. The chicken course I had took forever was not up to scratch. I did not eat it all. My son in law rated the meal and service as 2/10. What went wrong last Friday night? Was this an isolated slip up? Hopefully it will be up to usual high standard next time. Frank Griffiths (husband of Margaret)
