The concept with the shower integrated in the room is a matter of taste -not my taste but that's fine and is not the reason for 2 out of 5 stars. The reason is that this hotel is poorly maintained, the public areas and especially the pool ( missing tiles, and covers for the filter) do need maintenance! In my room was aassiv cut in the plastic floor and a lot of other smaller items. If they would spend some money it could be definitely a very nice place!
Very clean hotel with lots of hidden fees. Disappointed with the lack of communication. I think if you speak Italian they will accommodate better. Shared one room with my friend and noticed the bathroom is right next to the bed with no privacy whatsoever. I’m not sure what they were going for here. My friend and I had to take turns to take showers and to step out of the room for privacy during shower and grooming. Very inconvenient. The have a beautiful pool area for 15 euros day pass. This was not mentioned during booking. Very inconvenient. Central air and lighting works only upon inserting room card key. It was very hot in Rome during our visit so we decided to leave one room key inside to keep the room fresh. Days later the cleaning lady took the key and we had to ask for another key. Days later she came back with the key to return it. Breakfast is not included. American breakfast is 27 euros. Take your chances. Upon checking out of hotel, we inquired about shuttle to airport, front desk scheduled the car without letting us know that it will be 50 euros, so when we arrived at the airport we had the pleasant surprise that we owned money to the driver with no cash left. Thankfully we were able to pay him with a credit card. Management won’t probably care but they are shooting themselves in the foot because we as tourist we are looking to relax and enjoy our stay, not to be surprised with emerging fees, that’s why bookings are prior to visit. Good luck.
I would give this hotel a very poor rating for several reasons. It calls itself a 5 star hotel and the prices reflect it, but nothing about it is 5 star. The location is in a definitely shady area that feels unsafe after dark. The rooms are strangely designed and do not have even a basic cupboard. We stayed 3 nights and mostly lived out of a suitcase. While the breakfast spread is good, lunch and dinner should definitely be avoided here. The only thing we liked about this hotel is the service. The staff is polite and helpful so full marks to them!! Overall.. unless you have a compelling reason to stay near the station, I would recommend that this hotel be avoided.
