Radisson Blu Hotel Oulu

There’s outstanding food here. The special asparagus menu was a revelation, with green and white asparagus, delicately cooked salmon and a perfectly complementing sauce. The fixed price Bistro menu was excellent with well chosen wines and is good value. Service was to a very high standard: waitress Oi should get a special mention here. The rooms are comfortable, quiet and spacious and reception are very helpful. The location right by the market square and a beautiful park is ideal.

Very good service in reception, good restaurants with the same good service, good breakfast and also here you feel welcome. Service in this hotel is excellent. Location perfect, close to the shops, restaurants. Good parking, possibility to load your car, if you want to drive car inside, Kivisydän is near by. Very good gym, much better than normal hotel standard. Highly recommended.

The Radisson in Oulu is okay overall, with very friendly and helpful staff – definitely one of the highlights of the stay. The location is convenient, and the bed was quite comfortable. However, there are several areas that could use improvement. The bathrooms are very small, and the hotel in general feels a bit outdated. The bedding fabric felt uncomfortable against the skin – possibly due to a high synthetic content – which made it feel warmer than it should. Breakfast was also a mixed experience. Although the selection was decent, my vegetarian egg order was done incorrectly three times in a row. Additionally, the breakfast area felt more like a cafeteria than a cozy dining space – functional but lacking charm. With a few updates and more attention to detail, this hotel could offer a much better guest experience. Friendly service alone unfortunately doesn’t make up for the rest.
