Radisson BLU Hotel & Spa Sligo

Wonderful venue for a wedding. Amazing reception halls . Perfect hotel for a gathering. Close to city centre however lovely that it is not in the heart of the town. Giving a quiet and peaceful atmosphere with beautiful views of the ocean and a short 5 min drive to the beach.

Nice hotel. Room was clean and bed was very comfy. Breakfast was very good. Only issue is the extremely strong chlorine smell on the ground floor and downstairs. They clearly have issues with their pool and/or ventilation. Absolutely reeks of chlorine all the way to the lobby. Not pleasant! Get that fixed asap!

Location/view is phenomenal. You can choose either sea view or garden view and there is no wrong answer here. Rooms were comfortable, but furniture was a bit dated and the water pressure in the shower wasn’t the greatest. Staff were very friendly and helpful. As far as continental breakfasts go, this was pretty standard - nothing exceptional but not too bad either. The only real complaint I have was the pool. It is offered to the community (not just hotel guests) and the pool and saunas were crowded early in the morning as well as at night. The jacuzzi was barely body temperature so not very comfortable to be in. Overall, I think this is a good stay and well worth the price.
