Radisson BLU Martinez Hotel Beirut

So many good things to say where do I start?! Ali, Hussein, and Rabii and so many others are the most hospitable kind and welcoming team I have ever met. Truly and honestly they are a powerhouse. Their service is amazing their recommendations for food and entertainment are authentic. If you care for loyalty and magnificent service stay at the Radisson Blu Martinez. I give the hotel 3 stars but before I write down the points I deducted, I want to give the hotel its due in some respects. The location of the hotel is quite central and many central points in Beirut can be reached with a short walk. The room I stayed in was clean. There was no bad smell in the room since it was a non-smoking room. On the other hand, as you can see in the photos, the furniture and furnishings are very old. But really old. The wooden coverings at the entrance of the room are out of place. Of course, it is not a super luxurious hotel, but in a hotel where you pay more than $100 per night, you expect at least more proper and functional things like a hair dryer and iron. The floors were carpeted but they were not clean enough. I think they should be cleaned more carefully. The oil of the French fries I ate in the hotel lobby probably had not been changed for a long time and many different things were cooked in this oil. The taste was quite bad and the smell was bad. I did not like the hamburger either.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this stay was honestly frustrating. The pool had extremely high chlorine levels, within minutes of swimming, my eyes were burning, and my skin felt irritated. The smell of chlorine was overwhelming and stayed on me even after a rinse. It didn’t feel safe or properly monitored. Management really needs to step up their maintenance and hygiene protocols. Until that happens, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
