Radisson Blu Riverside Hotel Gothenburg

Stayed for one night, room only after another accommodation let us down late in the evening. The room was clean and comfortable, the hotel has a good location and there is parking on-site and a multi-storey public parking opposite. There is a boat close by that zips over to the city centre in a few minutes. I didn't experience the hotel amenities but it was as I would expect from a Radisson Blu hotel.

We had a fantastic stay here! It is so easy to get to the center of the city if you take the ferry, which is close, easy, and enjoyable. Staff are very kind and helpful, and the restaurant downstairs is very nice! We would definitely stay here again.

Very Disappointing Experience – Not Recommended I stayed at this hotel during the Gothia Cup because I had read positive reviews and thought it would be a comfortable and convenient choice. Unfortunately, my experience was the complete opposite. The location was very far from the tournament venues, which made getting to and from the games inconvenient. Additionally, the hotel staff were unfriendly and unhelpful from the moment we arrived. On our first night, we wanted to have dinner at the hotel, but we were rudely told that we couldn’t be served because they were “too busy.” The way it was communicated to us was not only unprofessional but also disrespectful. I had originally booked two rooms for four nights, but due to the poor service and bad location, I decided to check out after just one night. I asked for a refund for the remaining nights, as I know that many other hotels in Gothenburg are flexible in these situations. Initially, the staff refused, but after insisting and speaking with the manager, they agreed to refund two nights for both rooms. However, the amount refunded was less than what I was promised. I followed up, but there was no clear explanation or resolution. In summary, I would strongly advise against staying at this hotel: • Poor location, far from everything • Unfriendly and unprofessional staff • Inflexible refund policy, and even when agreed, the refund was incomplete • Not suitable for families attending the Gothia Cup Save yourself the stress — choose a more centrally located and welcoming hotel.
