Fantastic accommodations. Very helpful staff and great room. We stayed here over the new year in room 457 which is a business class room. The room is spacious and quiet with comfortable beds. We had coffee, tea and complimentary chocolate. There is even robes and slippers in the closet. The food in the restaurant was exquisite and the service was excellent. The food is not cheap but worth it. Be sure to book your room including breakfast. It's a bit more expensive but completely worth it. There are all kinds of things, both cold and warm for every taste. One thing which needs a proper update is the wifi in the room. We basically had little to no connection in our room. Not that it mattered much for us, but I imagine it can be a problem for some.

Great stay at the hotel. Booked a room including breakfast. The breakfast had lots of variety and choices and fresh produce, some of it local. The hotel staff was friendly and available for all request and questions. The rooms were good and spacious, a little bit noisy because of the door between the two hotel rooms. Located perfectly in the city nothing is ever further than a 20 minute walk anyway.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Saga Hotel. Prior to leaving for Iceland I made the mistake of reading the hotel reviews as we booked this through a travel agent I was trying to find if there was a pool and gym. There were a few reviews that lowered my expectations a lot. I was pleasantly surprised on arrival the reception area and bars & restaurants were all bustling and very good. Our room was great and did the job perfectly. Having stayed in some of the nicest hotels on travels this room certainly was all we needed and more. A convenient 8-10 min stroll to the centre of Reykjavik and 5mins to the bus depot. Breakfast was plentiful and lovely and staff all very helpful. We will definitely stay here again on future Iceland trips.
