Radisson Collection Resort Galle

New hotel opened Jan 2025, very aesthetic, rooms were still new but starting to see some signs of wear, needs slightly better maintenance and faster moving staff. Room service food was not bad, but not a lot of choices. Beautiful pool, it’s not a peace and quiet hotel, you are definitely going to get noise and music from the pool but we were fine with it, just background noise. Perhaps you can request for a quieter room I think there is another block that doesn’t face the main pool. Gorgeous views from every corner of the property. There is a quieter pool and garden hidden on the right when you enter the main pool area. The private pool rooms facing the sea on level 1 have zero privacy sadly everyone basically walks right past your room, so don’t go for those. I reckon their biggest selling point which they should inform every guest about, is that you can walk on the beach towards Turtle Beach, where there are wild sea turtles you can feed in the water! It was a pleasant surprise for us walking down the beach. Overall great value for money considering we only paid about $150 a night as it was low season.

I would rate this hotel 8/10. The positives: The location was absolutely amazing – it felt more like being in a Maldivian resort. The pool overlooking the ocean was the highlight, and the fact that the bar was directly attached to the pool made it even better. The bartenders were very friendly and helpful, which really added to the experience. The downsides: The confirmation email we received mentioned check-in at 2 PM, but when we arrived, we were told it was actually 3 PM and that the email was a mistake. After a long drive, it was very frustrating to wait for the room to be arranged. Another major issue was with one of the staff members working near the beach. He kept staring at women, including myself and other guests in swimsuits, which made us feel very uncomfortable.(attached a picture below) Management should seriously look into this, as such behavior is unacceptable in a hotel environment. Additionally, there was a problem with the AC in our room – it caused condensation, leaving all the surfaces damp and wet. Overall, the property has great potential and offers a beautiful resort-like experience, but management needs to address these issues to ensure guests feel both comfortable and respected.
