Nice hotel to stay in Nanjing
Good quality, good service
The hotel itself is nice, rooms are spacious, tastefully decorated and the service was friendly, even if English was very limited. The breakfast buffet was good, offering a wide range of both local and international options. The hot springs didn’t feel like natural thermal baths; they seemed more like large jacuzzi pools, so if you’re expecting authentic spring water, you might be disappointed. The biggest issue was the location. The Garden Expo area is difficult to access and navigate. Instructions varied depending on who we asked and there was a lot of confusion with shuttle services and drivers. It’s understandable why the area felt almost deserted despite it being high season, locals have likely recognized the logistical challenges and chosen to go elsewhere. Also, hotel is quite far from Nanjing city center, so expect a 45-minute drive one way if you plan to explore the city (which I highly recommend!).
