Radisson Hotel Decapolis Miraflores

They have improved based on comments from previous reviews and I had a wonderful stay! Service: I was granted a complementary early checkin with no status in their loyalty program. Hotel workers were polite and nice. Room: I booked a premium room. My room was on the 6th floor, and we had no noise issue. They had an in-room safe. The bathroom was large. Two bottles of water (500ml) were provided every day. Breakfast: good selection of freshly squeezed juice, fruits, pastries and complementary à la carte. Service was quick the 3 mornings were went (6:30, 8:30, 9:30).

Location Good location near the beach and near Kennedy park. A range of restaurants and bars are nearby. Food and drink The rooftop bar is a great part about this hotel. There are a range of drinks available, that are well priced. Breakfast was included with our room rate and there is a small continental selection and then a large menu to choose from to order, this is quite nice. However, we had to queue for breakfast and then the service wasn't good, they didn't give us a menu and it was quite nice a confusing experience! Service The check in process is slow, the person on check in didn't tell me she was pre authorising my card so I was surprised when money left my account. On the second day our cards stopped working and when I went to reception they said it had fixed, it took two more trips to reception and then the receptionist had to come and reset the door, not a good service considering the price. The concierge, door staff and rooftop bar staff are very friendly. The lifts are very small and there was often quite a wait for them. There is a very pungent smell of air freshener in all of the communal areas. Room and facilities There is a pool and sunbeds and a large gym available on the rooftop. The room was spacious but quite empty! The bathroom was very dated but functional. Overall a fine hotel but there's others half the price nearby that would offer the same experience!

The primary function of a hotel is to provide a place to sleep. Unfortunately, this isn’t something the Radisson Miraflores can offer. We upped our budget a bit for the Radisson for a good night’s sleep before a long journey back to London. By having us ‘sleep’ directly underneath a nightclub, this was made impossible by the hotel. The bar has events until 2am and you can hear all of it. We called reception at midnight - they couldn’t move us so they tried to have the music turned down, though ironically it seemed to get louder. If you want to replicate the experience of staying at the radisson Decapolis, put a speaker in your cupboard and play music until 2am and try to sleep. You won’t be able to. I’ve seen this crop up in other reviews too, so don’t stay here if you need a good night’s sleep for whatever reason. You might get lucky, but we weren’t. Also, the tables and chairs directly above the room get moved at 8am so that’s your wake up call. Breakfast was nice and the room was lovely, also the staff were as helpful as they could be I think, just a shame it’s impossible to sleep in the hotel. To be safe, I’d book somewhere else.
