My experience at the Radisson Hotel Manchester was nothing short of outstanding. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, professional, and incredibly attentive. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and my room was spotless, modern, and very comfortable — with a fantastic city view. The hotel’s location is perfect for exploring Manchester, and the on-site amenities, including the restaurant, bar, and spa, made my stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast buffet had a great variety and was fresh and delicious each morning. I highly recommend the Radisson to anyone visiting Manchester — whether for business or leisure, it strikes the perfect balance between luxury and comfort. I’ll definitely be staying here again!
I want to start by saying that the rooms and facilities overall were brilliant. But I am highly disappointed with the service provided by the staff. Especially the people at the reception - there was a guy who had lengthy hair ( who had a bun on all the time) his attitude is extremely blunt and horrendous. I am not sure if this is because I am a different nationality ( I am talking about subtle racism). Asked the room to be cleaned when I was leaving and they said it will be done by 4pm (he does not even look at your face when he replies, like excuse me?). Came back to the room in the evening , the room was not cleaned , went back to the reception informed that the room wasn’t clean and I told him I indicated this when I was leaving, he just replies with the blankest stare “OH”. I asked him if he can send someone he says again you have to be out of the room to clean the room. Like bro- what were you doing those 6 hours I was out? Like no one could fulfil our request? Any ways I took the matter to my own hands and when the door boy came to deliver the body wash ( again this was empty in the bathroom for a 2 day stay), I requested to clean and he did it for me. At this point- there was no followup call from the reception checking if it’s clean. Its crazy when you pay a ridiculous amount of money you expect the service to be good, mind you this was not a one day stay it was for 2 nights and I was a patient visiting for hospital appointments. All I can say is I could clearly see the guy’s change of attitude to me and other people. People like this should not be employed and must learn how to treat everyone equally. When leaving, out of courtesy we said bye and he did not even bother to say thank you and bye to us. Extremely disappointed with the attitude of this particular employee.
I booked this hotel for a birthday trip for my partner, but sadly the experience didn’t quite live up to expectations. The stay got off to a disappointing start when the birthday decorations I had arranged in advance (and paid for on arrival) were missing from the room on arrival. This was really upsetting, as it was meant to be a special surprise. When I spoke to the front desk, their initial response was quite dismissive and lacked empathy, which only made things worse in the moment. That said, they did apologise, and the decorations were eventually put up while we were at dinner, which we appreciated—but the impact had already been felt. There were a few other issues that added to the frustration: - Only one towel in the room despite a booking for two people. - An empty shower gel dispenser that required calling reception. - Our key cards stopped working after we went to the spa, even though we had paid for late check-out, so we had to go back to reception to get them reactivated and get back into our room We had looked forward to a relaxing spa afternoon, but adult swimming lessons were taking place in the pool at the same time, making the atmosphere loud and not very peaceful. However, the treatments themselves were excellent, and the sauna was very enjoyable! Breakfast was also a letdown, especially as a vegan. The only real option available was beans on toast or soya yoghourt which felt quite limited. However without dietary restrictions you may be okay. The room itself was clean and nicely presented, and the hotel building has a lovely modern feel overall. It’s just a shame that the service and small oversights took away from what could have been a really memorable experience. Maybe this was a one off experience. With a bit more attention to guest care, consistency, and dietary inclusivity, this hotel could be a great place to stay.
